COLLECT YOUR CERTIFICATE: NOTICE TO ALL SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 GRADUATES

All  63rd Congregation graduands who were conferred degrees and awarded  diplomas on 25th September , 2020 are requested to collect their certificates at the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus in the following order:

1.  MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2020 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2020-ALL MASTERS DEGREES AND                     POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMAS

2. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2020 – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2020-     BACHELORS DEGREES ONLY FOR:

EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The EAC Scholarship Programme is an initiative of the East African Community (EAC), the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) and German Development Bank- KfW. The project begun in 2018 when the EAC and IUCEA entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with KfW geared towards the training of students within the EAC Region. This Project aims at creating future change agents, who identify themselves with the integration agenda of the EAC and are willing to share economic and development-oriented expert knowledge.

$6 MILLION GRANT FROM USAID FOR ANIMAL HEALTH INNOVATION LAB

The Allen School’s Global Health – Kenya will lead the Feed the Future Animal Health Innovation Lab program taking an interdisciplinary approach to addressing livestock diseases, working in partnership with scientists from the University of NairobiInternational Livestock Research Institute, Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization, and the Kenya Medical Research Institute.

UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI RESEARCH WEEK 2020

This will be the first Research Week event to held online due to on going COVID 19 pandemic. The 3rd Annual event hosted by the University of Nairobi will be  in October from 12th to 16th,  2020.

The week features over ten different conferences covering a diverse range of academic disciplines, one of which is bound to meet your interest and area of expertise. The conferences provide a forum to enable you to present your work, engage with your colleagues, and learn about the latest developments in your field. 

FIRST YEAR ORIENTATION VIDEO SHOOT

 The Dept. of Vet.Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology on the 18th of August 2020 had a video recording session for the learning facilities. The recorded video and images will be used in the orientation of the first years 2020/2021 intake that will take place on 31st August 2020.

The video recording took place in the large animal postmortem room, Embedding room histopathology teaching laboratory, students lectures theatres and Parasitology laboratory.

Later on the team interviewed the Dean faculty of Veterinary Medicine ,Prof Maingi in his office .

63RD GRADUATION CEREMONY

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the Colleges Of Agriculture & Veterinary Sciences, Architecture & Engineering, Biological & Physical Sciences, Education & External Studies and ODeL Campus, who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2019/2020) and members of the public, that the 63rd Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, September 25, 2020 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Great Court.

RESEARCH WEEK 2020

The 3rd Research Week 2020 is scheduled for October 12 -16, 2020. The annual event, hosted by the University of Nairobi, will feature 13 different conferences covering a diverse range of academic disciplines and is expected to bring together over 1,000 participants comprising researchers, scholars, students and practitioners from all over the world.
