The company is a French based pet nutrition company which has over the years supported the faculty in several aspects such as Prizes for the best students, teaching materials, scholarships for symposium attendance and guest lectures. In 2019, a partnership was launched to refurbish the Small animal Clinic kennels and cattery. The design team led by Dr. Lilyan Mathai saw modern cat and dog friendly housing units installed. The project valued at over 2 Million shillings saw the clinic receive a model cattery unit and have the kennels refurbished. Other aspects included the provision of teaching materials for students in the clinics and consultation rooms. The handover ceremony of the cattery and kennels was held at the Small Animal Clinic Seminar room attended by Kim Tran, the principal CAVs, Dean FVM, Chairman CSD and faculty staff and students. Royal Canin has continued this collaboration through providing online lectures on canine nutrition when the pandemic struck through Dr. Jena Mwakugu the scientific communication manager.
